Writing this blog post is anything but a thought experiment. To repeat myself, this blog post is not a thought experiment; what it is or what I would like it to be considered is a “visual experiment.” For the most part, I’m against labeling a blog post as a “thought experiment.” Within the common era, writing a blog post and proclaiming it’s a “thought experiment” is just so tasteless. I will not go further down this rabbit hole or explain any of the basics to this time suck, this a topic I plan on writing about in the future.

A few things must be addressed before this visual experiment and blog posts can be read and processed entirely by all readers. The word churnalism used in the title for this blog post is defined in Oxford as,

Journalism of a type that is based on the repetition or reuse of material obtained from sources such as press releases or syndicated news reports, rather than original research.”

In my opinion, I feel that Wikipedia gives a more detailed and more approachable definition of churnalism,

Churnalism is a low-quality form of journalism in which press releases and other forms of pre-packaged material are used to create articles in newspapers and other news media in order to meet increasing pressures of time and cost without undertaking further research or fact-checking.

Another issue that needs to be addressed is that all the “re-blogged” written content was retrieved using The Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine feature.

As the extremely short journalistic clip shown above implies, it is one of the reasons why it was my duty to preserve my achievements in life, for my own sake, more than for the readers. I will not state, within the blog post or even speak publicly on my podcast, what other reasons are for my choice of reposting or re-publishing these blog posts in chronological order. In many ways, think of my choice as “Quote Re-Tweeting”.

My small punditry before presenting the first of the two “Re=Bloggings” is that I feel it needs to be said that David Locascio, who has used the moniker Hampton’s Dave for quite a number of years, is much more suitable for this blog post, nonetheless, continuing with what was promised.

“The Ryan Show is searching for interns” was published on December 5th, 2019, and was written David Locascio.

“Music mogul and street legend Kal Dawson joined the cast in studio to help us pick out an intern for 2020.”

“Its official, The Ryan Show is on the search for new interns. Internships are very valuable to both the organization and the intern themselves, as both benefit greatly.  The intern search is done in perfect Ryan Show fashion, by having an on-air contest between 3 contestants. The three contestants chosen to compete for this position are, reality TV actress Alexis Bell, NYC stand up comic Matteo Pascale, and street performer White Trash Coon, formerly known as Crackhead Barney.’"

"This episode was at no loss for excitement as the contestants got into a heated confrontation right from the start. What else would you expect from a Ryan Show FM driven contest? The contest consists of tasks that each contestant must complete to show their potential skills. This episode the gang brought former Murder Inc president Kal Dawson into studio to help the contestants focus on networking.  Being in radio and putting together live shows, networking is a very important trait to master.  Which contestant will have what it takes to become The Ryan Show intern?  Stay tuned and listen to the show every week to find out!"

The following Article was posted only a few days apart in December 2019,

“Jonathan Torres teaches interns "hustle" and "coquito" on TRS FM:” Was published on December 11th, 2019, and written by Ryan Verneuille.

“Jonathan Torres is making big waves within the New York City entertainment circuit.”

“Part two of the 2020 intern contest airs for its final broadcast tonight on Underground Talk Radio at 10 PM EST. Entrepreneur Jonathan Torres gave contestants comedian Matteo Pascale and musician Lori Rosell an opportunity to hustle Christmas Coquito. Jonathan gave them hands on instructions on how to create his popular Christmas beverage using his grandmothers secret recipe. The winner of The Ryan Show FM’s intern contest will become an official intern receive hands on training by the cast and official “street credits”.”

“The winner of this years contest will be announced live at The Ryan Show’s "Toys for Thots" Toy Drive on 12/13 at Five Spot in Brooklyn. Join us at 7 PM for an evening of comedy, music, absurdity and charity!
