The Crooklyn Comedy Film Festival: Presents "RAKUGO KARMA" & "Scamelot" On 10/25/2025: Day 4 DOUBLE FEATURE 3 of 3
This double feature leads with, RAKUGO KARMA Directed by Kyosuke Enokizono *This movie has not been sound-edited yet.* Sit-down comedy! Japanese Traditional performing art 'Rakugo’. "Rakugo is the affirmation of human karma." This famous quote was left behind by the star Rakugo performer Tatekawa Danshi. His apprentice, Kairakutei Black, seems to embody his master's words by leading a destructive lifestyle and performing radical Rakugo. Though his media exposure is limited, he has long been a cult star in Japan. His ability to laugh off anything that happens may be the key to living a joyful life. This film is a biographical documentary about Kairakutei Black, a living legend who will leave his mark on the history of traditional performing arts. Story: A monster of the rakugo world raised in the darkness of movie theaters. Born after the war as the mixed child of an American soldier and a Japanese woman, Black spends most of his time in the darkness of movie theaters to escape discrimination, as he has since childhood... Kyosuke Enokizono, director’s statement: I am interested in “social misfits.” How do people who are viewed as problematic by society? And what kind of impact do they have on society? This double feature then closes with, Scamelot Directed by Joe Dustin In the small town of Camelot, Oregon where our anti-heroes Miles Logan and Todd Slunk spend their days scamming and manipulating the townspeople. The duo, along with Miles' reluctant girlfriend Sarah, lives vicariously by throwing large parties, then stealing the identities and money from all in attendance. They have swindled just about everyone in Camelot, including Police Sheriff Cody and Judge Brown. The lives of Miles and Todd go awry when the town administers a new district attorney, Dirk Fillencio, who is determined to shut down their criminal actions."

The Crooklyn Comedy Film Festival: Presents "Dead, White and Blue" & "The Cleaners 2" On 10/25/2025: Day 4 DOUBLE FEATURE 2 of 3
This double feature leads with, Dead, White and Blue Directed by Mike Davis A "green movie" made of recycled footage from over 300 stock and public domain films with a brand new storyline and dialogue. A rogue FBI agent teams up with the United States Army to defeat the KKK, who have invaded to body of an innocent black man killed by a racist cop. In an attempt to go mainstream, the KKK has modernized and gone high tech with flashy new promo videos, clothing, and an evil plot to plunge the country into a race war with the help of a shrink ray created by their top scientists. After a a policeman shoots an innocent black man, he enlists the Klan to help him elude justice by retrieving the incriminating bullet. FBI agent Kwame Blackstone gets wind of the plan and enlists the army to help him put a stop to the evil organization for good. But with sophisticated new weaponry and the wind in their sheets, they will not go down without a fight. An over the top comedic political satire featuring a cast of thousands and the best government-produced film footage money can't buy! A satirical sci-fi retro action comedy that takes aim at the absurdity of American racism. Mike Davis, Director’s statement: I made this film as if it was the last one l'd ever do, because l'd either run out of bizarre found public domain footage to use, be replaced by Al or thrown in jail. It's a comedy, a satire, a surreal absurdity and ideally an inspiration to independent filmmakers and creators everywhere who are working with limited resources and great imaginations. Or dream of making films that feature massive explosions, large scale riots, spaceship battles and animal stunts with no budget or Hollywood connections to pull it off. Besides my heart and soul, I put clips from over 300 footage sources into it, most of which were produced by the United States government, in the public domain and free for anyone to use. God bless America! This double feature then closes with, The Cleaners 2 Directed by Sedrick Savoy When K-Chill and West get away with the money they find themselves deeper into the underworld. They are on a new mission to expand and will not let anything get in their way. What they don't know is what troubles are waiting in their path. Can they work there way out or get stuck in the cycle.
